This is the last known sign my Grandfather painted back in 1990 before he passed away in January, 1991. He was an active member of The Speed Ruritan Club of Speed, NC. This sign weathered Hurricane Floyd, which flooded the entire building and this town. This picture was taken in 2004, and it is amazing to me that a sign could last so long, but quality goes a long ways.
